Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck
Pieter Nicolaas van Eyck (born October 1, 1887 in Breukelen , † April 10, 1954 in Wassenaar ) was a Dutch writer, poet, critic and literary historian.
On November 8, 1935, Pieter van Eyck became professor of Dutch literature and philosophy at the University of Leiden, where his lectures dealt with Dutch literature, history and aesthetic criticism. He was married to Nelly Estelle Benjamin (1891–1971); one of her sons is the Dutch architect Aldo van Eyck .
