Pietro Beato

Pietro Beato (* 1601 ; † around 1653 in Naples ) was a painter in Naples during the early baroque period . Very little has come down to us from this now hardly known master, and none of his works have survived. From 1628 he was the teacher of Bartolomeo Bassante , who in 1638 married Angela Formichella, a niece of Beato.
