Piggnigg is a Swiss dialect rock band from Flawil .

They describe their style of music as dialect rock for advanced players . The group has released seven albums since 1981 and keeps appearing in new lineups. After the first LP Tschaued än anders Mol is most likely to be attributed to pop , the band released a more elaborately produced, orchestral album in 1985 under the title The gambler . Over time, influences from jazz ( America 1996), rock and the singer-songwriter scene were added. After 2000, the band is now increasingly orienting itself towards indie rockand presents itself mainly as a guitar band. Meanwhile the Piggnigg songs can be heard unplugged more and more often. The two co-founders Wolfgang Egli and Daniel Less appear with the songs as a music cabaret under the name "Less Egli".
