Piilsi is a village ( Estonian küla ) in the rural municipality of Lohusuu ( Lohusuu vald ). It is located in Ida-Viru County ( East Wierland ) in northeast Estonia .

Description and history

The village has 34 inhabitants (as of January 4, 2010). The place was first mentioned in 1624. At that time there were four farms there.

The 24 km long river Piilsi ( Piilsi jõgi ) flows through the village and flows into the Peipussee ( Peipsi järv ) at Kalmaküla .
