Pilau ( Arabic بيلو) is a small, uninhabited rock island in the Mediterranean . Administratively it belongs to the Tunisian government of Bizerte .

Pilau is located about 2 km off the coast of the town of Raf Raf , about 42 km east of Bizerte and 60 km north of Tunis . The barren island rises steeply from the sea and reaches a height of 116 m.
