Raf Raf , Arabic رفراف, is a city in northeastern Tunisia with 9839 inhabitants (2004).

Raf Raf Plage and Pilau Island

The city belongs to the Délégation of Ras Jebel in the Bizerte Governorate . It is located about 42 kilometers east of Bizerte , 7 km east of Ras Jebel and 60 kilometers north of the state capital Tunis and is divided into two locations: The capital is located north of a ridge that runs in west-east direction and leads to the Djebel Nadhour , Cape Farina , which represents the northern limit of the Gulf of Tunis . Opposite the island of Pilau , 2 km off the coast, a tourist settlement , Raf Raf Plage or El Hmari , with a long sandy beach begins one kilometer east . Besides being a resort, mainly visited by Tunisians, the place is known for its muscatel grapes.
