Pilosocereus albisummus is a species of plant in the genus Pilosocereus from the cactus family(Cactaceae). The specific epithet albisummus means 'with white tips'.

Pilosocereus albisummus grows shrub-like or tree-shaped with a clearly defined trunk, upright, gray-green shoots up to 8.5 centimeters in diameter that are branched above the base and can reach a height of 2.8 meters. There are 6 to 12 ribs. The light yellow or reddish thorns turn gray or black. The 3 to 7 central spines are protruding to inwardly curved and 5 to 10 millimeters long. The 11 to 13 spread radial spines are protruding to spread 5 to 7 millimeters long. The flowering part of the shoots is conspicuous, as the flowering areoles give rise to up to 2.2 cm long, grayish to brownish hairs and up to 4.1 cm long thorns.
The flowers are silver-white to slightly purple in color. They are up to 4.3 centimeters long and reach a diameter of 3.5 centimeters. The depressed spherical fruits are up to 2.5 centimeters long, tear open with a side slit and contain a magenta-colored pulp.
Distribution, systematics and endangerment
Pilosocereus albisummus is widespread in the western part of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais . The first description was published in 1987 by Pierre Josef Braun (* 1959) and Eddie Esteves Pereira (* 1939).
In the Red List of Threatened Species of the IUCN , the species is called " Data Deficient (DD) ", i. H. with insufficient data.
