List of apple varieties

The pilot is a medium-sized cultivated apple ( Malus pilot ) that the Saxon Institute for Fruit Research put on the market in 1988.

The apple can be harvested from the end of September and is ready for consumption in February . The apple variety can be stored until May / June. The peel of the apple is rough and pressure-resistant. The yellow to orange basic color is covered by a strong vermilion red up to 60 percent . The firm and juicy flesh has a sweet and sour taste.

The tree shows little susceptibility to powdery mildew , scab and fire blight . Cultivation is possible in all locations suitable for apples.
