Raw Pinchas Menachem Alter , Pne Menachem , Admor von Gur (born June 9, 1926 in Góra Kalwaria ; died March 7, 1996 in Jerusalem ) was a Hasidic rabbi , Rosh-yeshiva and Gerer Rebbe from 1992 to 1996. He was the last son Avraham Mordechai Alters (also Imrei Emes) and had been able to flee with his family to Palestine via Italy in 1940 .

Pinchas Menachem Alter was born in Góra Kalwaria. He was the only son in the second marriage of Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter to Feyge Mintshe Biderman. He had four half-brothers, including Rabbis Yisrael Alter and Simcha Bunim Alter, and two half-sisters. After the Second World War he married his cousin Tzipora Alter.

Several tens of thousands attended his funeral.
