Pinguini Tattici Nucleari ("Tactical Nuclear Penguins") is an Italian indie rock band from Bergamo .

Band history

The band was formed during their members' school days and named itself after the beer Tactical Nuclear Penguin from the British brewery BrewDog . Her first release was the EP Cartoni animali in 2012 , the first album Il Re è nudo was released in 2014. With the second album Diamo un calcio all'Aldilà , the group reached a larger audience for the first time in 2015, especially with the single Me Want Marò Back . In 2017 the third album Gioventù brucata was released , with the successful single Irene . After they had released all albums in their own production up to then, the band finally signed a recording contract with the major label Sony ; The first Sony album, preceded by the single Verdura , was released in 2019 under the title Fuori dall'hype and reached number twelve on the Italian album charts.

With the song Ringo Starr , the band took part in the 2020 Sanremo Festival and reached third place. At the same time a new edition of their last album was released.
