Pink pylon
Pink Pylon is the name of the ZP226 high-voltage pylon in the Ashworth Valley near Rochdale , Greater Manchester . It was painted pink for the 1998 film Among Giants starring Pete Postlethwaite and Rachel Griffiths .
The line, which included the Pink Pylon, which carried two circuits for 380 kV, was dismantled in November 2003 and the parts of the mast were auctioned.
