Pinkalicious & Peterrific is an Irish - American television series . It was first broadcast on PBS on February 19, 2018 . It is based on the children's books by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann.

The series is aimed at preschoolers between three and five years of age and is intended to encourage them to engage with art and creativity. The stories follow Pinkalicious and her brother Peter, who look at their world through their artful eye while exploring music , visual arts and dance . Each episode consists of two 11-minute stories and live-action short films.
Production and publication
The series was created at Belfast Studio Sixteen South, the production company is WGBH Boston. Jennie Lupinacci directed the production and directed primarily Jamie Teehan. The music was composed by Mark Gordon, Richard Hill and Fiona O'Kane. Claire Duffy was the artistic director.
The first season with a total of 40 episodes has been broadcast by PBS in the USA at irregular intervals since February 18, 2018. The broadcast should be completed in December 2019. A second season has been announced for 2020, with a third to follow.
