Mark Gordon

Mark N. Gordon (born October 10, 1956 in Newport News , Virginia ) is an American film producer and President of the Producers Guild of America .

Life

Gordon graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts , one of 15 colleges affiliated with New York University . He began his career as a producer in the 1980s with films such as How to Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days . So far he has been involved in more than 70 productions. One of his greatest successes as a producer is Saving Private Ryan , for which he received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture in 1999 .

In the 2000s, Gordon also turned to television. He has been and still is an executive producer on several series including Grey's Anatomy , Army Wives and Private Practice . He also worked on some television films.

Gordon was married to Karen Villeneuve from 1997 to 2003 . He has been married to Sally Whitehill since 2011.
