Pintado is a town in Uruguay .

geography

Pintado is located in the Florida Department in Sector 3 . The place is in the western part of the department at the transition from the Cuchilla de La Cruz to the Cuchilla Grande Inferior . Closest settlements are Sarandí Grande in the north and La Cruz in the southeast. Not far north of the village rises the Arroyo Pantanoso , a right-hand tributary of the Arroyo de La Cruz , while to the west the source of the Arroyo de Pintado and to the south-east those of the Arroyo Sauce Caviloso and the Arroyo Molles (tributary of the Arroyo de Pintado) can be found.

Infrastructure

The Montevideo - Durazno railway runs through the place affected by Ruta 5 .

The population of Pintado is 170 (as of 2011), of which 83 are male and 87 are female.
