La Cruz is a town in Uruguay .
geography
La Cruz is located in the Florida Department in Sector 3 . The place is located in the western part of the department in the Cuchilla de La Cruz a few kilometers north of the capital Florida , as well as the place La Macana and southeast of Pintado . The Arroyo Lindero rises not far south of the village .
history
On October 23, 1929, La Cruz was classified as a pueblo by law ( Ley No. 8.497 ) .
Infrastructure
A railway line runs through the place affected by Ruta 5 .
