Piotr Skrobowski (born October 6, 1961 in Kraków , Poland ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Piotr Skrobowski began his professional career in 1979 at Wisła Kraków . The highly talented defender played here for four seasons before he was seriously injured in 1982 while preparing for the 1982 World Cup and was out for several months. After his return, he was never able to build on his previous strong performances and was transferred to the second team of Wisła Kraków for the second half of the 1984/1985 season. In 1985 he moved to league rivals Lech Poznań . Here he played for three seasons. However, the bad luck with injuries haunted him here too and he was out for several months again. In 1988 he moved to the league rivals and smaller city rivals of Lech, Olimpia Poznań . In 1990 he ventured abroad and signed a three-year contract with the Swedish club Hammarby IF . Here, too, injuries threw him back, so that he came to only 14 league games in three seasons. In 1992 he ended his career.

National team

He played a total of 15 games for Poland . Skrobowski made his debut on June 22, 1980 in Warsaw against Iraq (3-0) and played his last game for Poland on January 11, 1984 in Calcutta against India (2-1).
