Cyberpiper (2007)

"Cyberpiper" is the pseudonym of the Luxembourgish musician Pit Vinkowsky (bourgeois Pit Vinandy ; * July 2, 1960), who plays on an electronic bagpipe . His melodies are based on Celtic motifs or traditional Luxembourg music pieces, which are alienated with electronic effects and rhythms and underlaid with text.

Life

Pit Vinandy toured Europe as a street musician playing the flute for twelve years. He settled temporarily in Luxembourg and played in various bands ( Everyday Zulu , Mistral, Heartlands, Exodus Likembe, Pray ) folk , folk jazz and folk rock . He worked as a puppeteer (Bimbo Theater, Hoplabum), as a clown and produced a television series with puppets: (De Sandmännche Pit, RTL 1995). He then experimented with electronic bagpipes, groove boxes and electronic alienation of voices; he received financial support from the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture. In 2007 he appeared as a cyberpiper in the virtual world of Second Life . Pit Vinandy has been working as a duo with Dilo Lompazius alias Kayser Oliver since 2010 . The instruments of the two include V-Pipes, Red-Pipes and the Ipad. In 2009, the Luxembourg filmmaker Beryl Koltz made the documentary Strangers in the night with Lucill Film , which shows the double life of Cyberpiper between real life and Second Life. Some pieces were used in Marc Barnig's film Rendolepsis (2003).
