Pitta ( Greek Πίττα ( f. Sg. )) Also Psathonisi or Psatho (Ψαθονήσι, Ψαθώ) is an uninhabited Greek island in the municipality of Agathonisi in the South Aegean region .

The almost round, very flat island is located less than 800 m north of the northwest coast of Agathonisi, the sea depth is 34 m. About 2 km to the east is the also uninhabited island of Strongyli.

Pitta shows traces of former agricultural cultivation, intensive grazing and slash and burn. 44 species of fern and seed plants are known from the island. The vegetation is severely degraded, representatives of the Phrygana are almost completely absent. The narrow and rocky coastal zone is populated by salt-loving species of a Crithmo-Staticetea beach rock society , such as Frankenia hirsuta , Limonium narbonense and Silene sedoides , Lotus edulis and Parapholis incurva . The real caper bush ( Capparis spinosa ) has also been identified.
