Darko Pivaljević
Darko Pivaljević (in Cyrillic script Дарко Пиваљевић ; born February 18, 1975 in Valjevo ) is a former Serbian football player .
The striker started his career in his homeland in Belgrade , with the clubs Red Star and FC Mladost. From there he moved to Belgium to Royal Antwerp . In 2000, 1. FC Köln , who had just returned to the Bundesliga , brought him to Germany . He was considered a big hope and with his goals he should help to keep the class. However, it quickly became clear that he was not the hoped-for reinforcement. Goals remained in short supply and Ewald Lienen , Cologne's coach at the time, quickly ran out of patience . Until 2002 he was only used in eight games with the billy goats , in which he only managed one goal. In 2002 he moved to RSC Charleroi during the season . He then played in his home country for a year before going back to Belgium. From 2004 to 2007 he went on the hunt for goals for Cercle Bruges . In 2007 he moved back to Royal Antwerp and ended his career here in summer 2011.
