Pyotr Kuzmich Saporoschez ( Russian Пётр Кузьмич Запорожец , Ukrainian Петро Кузьмич Запорожець ; born January 5, jul. / 17th January  1873 greg. In Bila Tserkva ; † February 19 jul. / 4. March  1905 greg. In Vinnitsa ) was a Russian Social democrat and active participant in the revolutionary movement in Russia .

Life

From 1886 to 1891 Zaporozhez attended secondary school in Kiev . In 1891 he began studying at the Technological Institute in Saint Petersburg . Here he joined a Marxist circle. Zaporozhez was in 1895, together with Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and other founders of the " Petersburg Combat League for the Liberation of the Working Class " and became a member of the central group of the Kampfbund. He campaigned for the Social Democrats in the Peter burgers city Rajons Nevsky and Moskovsky. Zaporozhez also traveled to Kiev in 1895 for organizational purposes.

He was arrested in December 1895 and later sentenced to five years in exile . His detention in prison resulted in mental illness. In 1897 he was therefore admitted to a psychiatric clinic in Kiev. He died in a hospital in Vinnitsa in 1905.
