Freiburg Planetarium

The Planetarium Freiburg is the successor building of opened on March 14, 1975, by Richard Fehrenbach initiated planetarium in the Richard-Fehrenbach School. Today's Planetarium is located since December 2002 at the north end of the main railway station of Freiburg , in the former Ufa-Palast , and was renovated in 2013 for 770,000 euros and a further FullDome supplemented -Videoprojektion. It is the largest planetarium in southern Baden.

The dome of the Freiburg planetarium has a diameter of 13 meters. At its center is the Starmaster planetarium projector from Carl Zeiss . A full-dome -Videoanlage the company Sky-Skan allows dome video projection filling two JVC laser projectors. The performances take place on a 265 square meter screen, which was realized as a 360-degree dome. Guests can take a seat on 140 seats with adjustable backrests.
