The Plankenbüchler tomb is a grave stele of the Plankenbüchler family in Hans-Hirsch-Park in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf . It represents the last relic of the Donaufelder cemetery, which was closed in 1903.

Location description

The tomb is located directly at the park entrance in Töllergasse on the southern house wall.

The grave stele was erected in 1894 for the mayor of Donaufeld , Franz Plankenbüchler.

description

The Plankenbüchler tomb is a conical marble grave stele over a rectangular base.

The following inscription can be read on the tombstone: “ Resting place / of the family / Plankenbüchler / Mr. / Franz Plankenbüchler / Mayor / von Donaufeld / died on June 7th, 1894. at the age of 43. / Ms. / Antonia Berger / formerly Plankenbüchler / house owner u. Teacher's wife / died on June 14, 1901, / at the age of 46. / Deeply mourned by her / husband and children. / Rest gently! / Mr. Martin Berger / teacher died on August 15, 1902. / at the age of 37. "
