Plaskett is an impact crater on the back of the moon near the lunar north pole . The northeastern edge overlies the wall of the Rozhdestvenskiy crater . The side crater Plaskett U is located on the eastern wall .

The crater was officially named in 1976 by the IAU after the Canadian astronomer John Stanley Plaskett (1865–1941).
