The Platform Reef (from English platform , platform, track ' ) is a reef off the south coast of Bird Island northwest of South Georgia in the South Atlantic. It is located in front of Landing Beach and the entrance to Jordan Cove as a marker for dangerous fairway .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the reef in 2012 based on the name of the neighboring Landing Beach (from English landing , landing, landing stage ')
