The Plattenloch is an alpine karst cave . The cave is located in the municipality of Innerthal in the canton of Schwyz . It is located in the karst area of ​​the pre-alpine Wägital .

The plate hole is part of a more extensive cave system on the Lachenstock . It was discovered in 1981 and has been explored since 1985. The research is coordinated by the Eastern Swiss Society for Speleology.
