The Playa Del Canal is a beach in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the west side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II Peninsula , it is northwest of Punta Nacella .
Scientists from the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) named him.
