The Playa Larga (Spanish for long beach ) is a sandy beach on the banks of Porlier Bay of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located immediately south of Punta Del Medio and extends to Punta Yuseff on the east side of Cape Shirreff on the northern foothills of the John Paul II peninsula .
Chilean scientists of the 20th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1965–1966) named it descriptively.
