Iliac plexus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The iliac plexus is a pair of nerve plexuses ( plexus ) that surrounds the communal illiae arteries . In addition to the superior hypogastric plexus, it forms the caudal (lower) continuation of the abdominal aortic plexus and arises from this at the aortic bifurcation (division of the aorta into the two common iliac arteries ).
