Pop! - The funny magazine was a comic - magazine from the Moewig - Verlag .

The booklet, which was printed entirely in color, was published every 14 days from 1968 to 1969 and cost 90 pfennigs . A total of 22 issues appeared.

In addition to the main character Plop! , a spotted fantasy creature with two arms and legs and leaf-like hair, each booklet also contained the adventures of the box , of Tschiko and the trolls .

One of the most famous cartoonists in Plop! was the German Franz Roscher, who after his managerial position at Rolf Kauka in the 1950s and 1960s as well as a short guest appearance for the comic magazine Felix (he draws the series "Wups und Waldi") from Bastei-Verlag joined Moewig.

The Germans Max Reindl and Josef Dachsel (Atelier Reindl Dachsel) continued to be the designers for the Plop! and Die Kiste , these two comic artists were responsible for early issues of the comic magazine Tom Berry .

In addition to pure comic stories, the magazine also contained other adventures. So an illustrated animal story appeared, for example in issues 15 and 16 of director Alfred inches from the Munich Zoo Hellabrunn .

The title character Plop! in 1969 had his own stories in the comic book " POPEYE - Der Spinatmatrose", which was also published by Moewig.
