The Podlëdnye Gory Vernadskogo ( English transcription from Russian Подлёдные Горы Вернадского Podljodnye Gory Vernadskowo , German “Subglacial Vernadskiberge” ) are a mountain range deep in the south of the East Arctic Mac-Robertson . It is covered by the Antarctic Ice Sheet .
Russian scientists named them. Probable namesake is the Russian geologist Wladimir Ivanovich Wernadski (1863-1945).
