The Point Moreno is a headland on the south coast of Laurie Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It marks the east side of the entrance to a small bay at the head of Scotia Bay .
Participants of the Scottish National Antarctic Expedition (1902-1904) under the direction of William Speirs Bruce mapped them in 1903. Bruce named them after the Argentine naturalist Francisco Pascasio Moreno (1852-1919), director of the La Plata Museum .
