Pola Brändle (born April 7, 1980 in Aachen ) is a German artist. Your work focuses on collages and décollages .

Life

Brändle woke up in Aachen , attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht after graduating from high school, where she obtained her Bachelor of Design in 2003 . Brändle's thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht was nominated, along with nine other works, for the "TENT Academy Award" (Rotterdam) as the best thesis in the Netherlands. After long stays in Portsmouth , Berlin and Lisbon , Brändle moved to Mallorca for 2 years from 2010 . In 2012, Brändle relocated her life and work center back to Berlin-Kreuzberg .

Inspired by the Affichists , Pola Brändle collected poster material on her travels through 38 countries, on the basis of which she created works of art specific to time and culture. From small fragments to huge large formats, her collages / decollages move between Pop Art and abstraction .
