The Polar Friendship Glacier ( English for Polar Friendship Glacier , Polish Lodowiec Przyjaźni Polarnej ) is a large glacier on the south coast of King George Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It's at the head of Collins Harbor .

Russian scientists initially named it as the Collins Glacier ( Russian Ледник Коллинз Lednik Collins ) based on the name of the bay into which the glacier flows. Polish scientists, on the other hand, named him in 1980 on the occasion of the friendships between the scientists at the Polish Arctowski station with those at the Russian Bellingshausen station and the Chilean base Presidente Eduardo Frei Montalva , all of whom are located on the Fildes Peninsula .
