Poldi Sangora , actually Leopoldine Sangora ( November 15, 1875 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary - after 1934) was an Austrian theater and silent film actress .

Life

Her dramatic teacher was Louisabeth Röckel and at the age of 15 she began her stage career at the Berlin theater, where she did not get any significant roles (one of the greatest was the “Emmy” in “Die Goldfische”). After working there for a year, she came to Potsdam and in 1892 to Riga, where she made her debut as “Susanne” in “Welt, in der Langweit”, 1894 to Leipzig (inaugural role: “ Käthchen von Heilbronn ”), 1896 to Vienna, Carl -Theater (inaugural role: "Claudinet" in "The Two Vagabonds"), 1897 to Hamburg, Stadttheater (inaugural role: "Adelheid" in "Biberpelz"), from where she complied with an application to the Frankfurt City Theater . She was there as "Rosi" in "Butterfly Battle" and "Hanna" in "Famous Woman".

There was a gap between 1902 and 1919 before she reappeared as a film actress in 1919. In 1934 she appears for the last time in the film Peer Gynt as Solveig's mother. The time of her death is unknown.
