The Politisch-Anthropologische Revue was a monthly magazine that appeared regularly from 1902 to 1922. It was published by the doctor Ludwig Woltmann and the publisher Hans KE Buhmann under the title Politisch-Anthropologische Revue. Monthly for the social and spiritual life of the peoples and acted as a mouthpiece for the social anthropology that was establishing itself at this time . In terms of content, the medium was strongly oriented towards social Darwinism ; the focus was on the application of biological development theories to social and political society.

With Woltmann's death in 1907, the journal was taken over by the doctor Friedrich Landmann . After his move to the fruit growing colony of Eden , Otto Schmidt-Gibichenfels became the new editor and led the editorial staff of the magazine until it was discontinued in 1922. Under Schmidt-Gibichenfels the magazine became increasingly anti-Semitic , in the last years of its existence it acted as a propaganda medium for the Deutschvölkischen Schutz- und Trutzbundes .
