The Polokwane International Airport , formerly known as Pietersburg International Airport or Gateway International Airport ( IATA code PTG , ICAO code FAPP ), is the airport of the city of Polokwane in the South African province of Limpopo .

The airport was founded in 1996 on the site of the former Air Force Base Pietersburg opened and is not with the southern him airfield Pietersburg Municipal Airport to be confused.
