Polyphontes (son of Autophonos)
Polyphontes ( ancient Greek Πολυφόντης ) is a person of Greek mythology .
Polyphontes, along with Maion, led fifty Theban youths in an ambush directed against Tydeus . Like everyone else with one exception, he was killed by Tydeus. In a Scholion at Homer his name is given as Lykophontes .
