- 2016: Awarded 3rd place in the Austrian School Prize of the BMBWF, endowed with 3,000 euros, in the Sustainability & Responsibility category.
Projects
At the start of the 2013/2014 school year, the Villach Polytechnic took part in the PTS 2020 school trial and developed a mentor system to support specialist groups with 10 to 13 students as an alternative to the usual class heads.
In 2014, class K5 of the Villach Polytechnic applied for a project on democracy and dictatorship to the Parliament of the Republic of Austria and was invited as one of five groups to participate in the Youth Parliament 11/14.
