Polyzalos from the Deinomeniden family was in the 5th century BC. BC Tyrant of Gela .

Polyzalus was a brother of Gelon and Hieron . When Hieron after the death of his brother Gelon in 478 BC When he became a tyrant of Syracuse , Gela fell to Polyzalus. This was also given to Demareta, the wife of Gelon and daughter of the tyrant Theron of Akragas .
