Pomeranian caviar

The Pomeranian caviar is a dish and spread the Pomeranian cuisine , the goose fat or goose fat is made.

Pomeranian caviar is traditionally made from the belly fat of the domestic goose . This is marinated with root vegetables and onions and then pressed through a sieve after the fatty skin has been removed. More modern recipes do without marinating. The fat is seasoned with grated onions, salt , marjoram and thyme and cooled. It is served as a spread on toasted bread.
