The Pont Salah Bey ( Arabic جسر صالح باي ), called Viaduc Trans-Rhumel Constantine during the construction period , is a four-lane road bridge in Constantine , Algeria , which connects the two halves of the city separated by the Rhumel Gorge and also connects them directly to the bypass road and the east-west motorway .

The bridge stands outside the old town about 600 m above (south) the Pont Sidi Rached and is intended to relieve it. It is also intended to ensure that traffic can continue if the Pont Sidi Rached has to be closed, as it has been endangered and damaged by movements in the unstable slope at its eastern end for decades. The new bridge connects the Place de l'ONU on its western side with the area at Chemin forestier on the eastern end. In the last few years the access and connecting roads of the total of 4.3 km of roads have been completed.

The cable-stayed bridge has two pylons with a pillar spacing of 259 m. The pylons each consist of a reinforced concrete pillar arranged in the central axis of the bridge with a height of 60 m up to the bridge table. The 27 m wide and 756 m long bridge deck is a reinforced concrete hollow box construction with an aerodynamically rounded underside. It is carried by the stay cables arranged in the central axis of the bridge.

The length of the bridge including the access roads is given as 1119 m. The entire project comprises 4,300 m of roads including the bridge.

The bridge was designed by Dissing + Weitling in collaboration with COWI and built by the Brazilian company Andrade Gutierrez based on an international tender . After the completion originally planned for 2013, the bridge was officially opened on July 26, 2014. It was named Pont Salah Bey after Bey, who ruled Constantine from 1771 to 1792 .
