The small uninhabited Greek island of Pori ( Greek Πορί ( n. Sg. ) Also Prasonisi (Πρασονήσι)) is located about eight kilometers north of Andikythira . The island consists of a larger western and a smaller eastern part, which are connected by an isthmus that is around 200 meters narrow.

The flora of Pori includes 98 species of vascular plants. Almost 70% of the species have their spatial distribution in the Mediterranean region, the three species Filago cretensis subsp. cretensis , Salsola aegaea and Arenaria aegaea are endemic to the Aegean Sea . In the south-south-east part in a few places also in the west-south-west part of the island the tree spurge ( Euphorbia dendroides ) forms the main vegetation. Sometimes there are pure stands, the height of which is a maximum of one meter. Combinations of mastic ( Pistacia lentiscus ), wild olive tree ( Olea europaea var. Sylvestris ) or Phoenician juniper ( Juniperus phoenicea ) with whorled heather ( Erica manipuliflora ), hairy bristle ( Calicotome villosa ) and Cretan smut herb ( Phlica cretica ) are widespread .

The endemic Pori wall lizard ( Podarcis levendis ) is found on Pori and the small neighboring island of Lagouvardos . The species is classified as endangered (VU - Vulnerable ) in the international and national Red List .
