Porte de la Villette is an underground station on the Paris Métro . It is located below the Avenue Corentin Cariou in the 19th arrondissement of Paris and is served by Metro line 7 . The Cité des Sciences et de l'industrie and the Parc de la Villette are nearby .
The station began operating on November 5, 1910, when the section of Line 7 from the Opéra station to the station opened. Until October 4, 1979, it was the northern terminus of line 7.
