Porto Timoni is a beach in Corfu . It is located 2 km west of Agios Georgios and is known for its shape as a twin bay or isthmus .
General
There are a total of 3 beaches at Porto Timoni. "Porto Timoni Beach" on the south side of the twin bay, "Pirate Beach" on the north side and another beach on the Akra Arilla peninsula, which can be reached via the twin bay. The Agios Stylianós cave chapel is also located on the Akra Arilla peninsula. Porto Timoni cannot be reached by car. The unpaved footpath including some climbing sections from Afionas to Porto Timoni is about 1 km long.
Maritime
There are numerous stones in the water on the south side of the double bay. There is only one gap in which a yacht can anchor: exactly as shown in the photo. On the north side, up to 4 yachts can easily anchor during the day . The water depth is 4 - 8 meters, there are no large stones, but swell in the prevailing wind direction .
