Posa Claudius Linz

Posa Claudius Linz (born December 2, 1806 in Koblenz , † March 14, 1871 in Trier ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.

Life

Linz was the son of the domain inspector and notary Goswin Caspar Joseph Linz and his wife Maria Magdalena Catharina Josepha nee Burret. Linz, the Catholic denomination, married Henriette Sophie Charlotte Walburga Linz (born December 18, 1806 in Koblenz, † April 1, 1876 in Trier), an illegitimate daughter of Anna Maria Elisabeth Walburga Ritza Linz, on July 6, 1837 in Koblenz , later married Capitaine. Wilhelm Linz is a cousin.

Linz studied law and became a trainee lawyer in Trier in 1830, assessor in Königsberg in 1834 and in Gumbinnen in 1835. In 1836 he was transferred to Düsseldorf in the same position. In 1840 he became a councilor in Trier, when he retired he was a secret councilor.

After the March Revolution he became a member of the Prussian Second Chamber from 1849 to 1852 and in 1850 a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
