The Laubepark is an approx. 7500 m² park in the Favoriten district . He lies within the arbor. In 2006 the park was extended by a little more than 2000 m² beyond Buchengasse. Before that, it was only a little over 5000 m². The costs for the expansion and redesign amounted to approx. 550,000 euros. The park is partially paved and in addition to lawns and old trees over a children's youth playground , football field , volleyball court , sand and mud field, basketball court , seating, dog area and a drinking fountain and a seasonal park maintenance by the Kinderfreunde Vienna .

The Laubepark owes its name to the Laubepark within which it is (for the most part) located. The Laubeplatz was named on March 3, 1891 after the German writer , playwright , theater director and politician Heinrich Laube .
