Positioning (architecture)

In architecture, positioning is the placement of a building in the landscape or on the available area ( property ). The positioning of a building essentially determines the appearance of the building, the degree of privacy in relation to the public space, the development , the relationship between outside and inside and possible solar heat gains.

If the property is in the area of ​​a development plan , this may give certain specifications for the positioning, such as building lines , construction boundaries and spacing areas .
