The Poso is a 100 km long river on Sulawesi , Indonesia . It flows from the Danau Poso lake into the sea near the town of Poso .

course

The Poso leaves the lake about 2 km west of the town of Tentena and flows in a northerly direction. At the height of Sangira it describes a 2 km diameter semicircle to the west and then flows further north or north-northeast in more than 20 large meanders . He touches the places Pandiri and Tagolu and then flows into the Indonesian Sea in a final right-hand loop near Poso.

Although it is only 40 km as the crow flies from the lake outlet to the mouth, the river is more than twice as long due to its numerous loops.
