The Praça Luís de Camões is a central square in the city center of the Portuguese capital Lisbon . It is located in the municipality of Encarnação and is the link between the districts of Bairro Alto and Chiado .
In the middle of the square is a statue depicting the Portuguese national poet Luís de Camões . Since October 12, 1860, the square has also been named after him.
The Brazilian Consulate General is located on the west side of the square.
