The magazine practic was a quarterly magazine published in the German Democratic Republic with tips and instructions for DIY enthusiasts and hobbyists. The magazine has been published by Junge Welt since 1967 (as the successor to the magazine Modellbau und Basteln ) ; The publisher was the Central Council of the FDJ .
In addition to building instructions for everyday use, the “Practic” also included handicraft suggestions, for example for disco lights or swimming skis. Further contents were self-construction projects and hardware extensions in the computer area , tips for the garden , handicrafts for bicycles , and instructions for the self-construction of additions for mopeds or motorcycles and cars .
After the German reunification , the magazine was bought by the Bauer Media Group . The last independent edition was issue 11/1991. After that, the Berlin editorial team was dissolved and the DIY magazine is the man was sold with the practic logo as a special edition for the eastern federal states. From 1993 practic went completely in itself is the man , in whose imprint the title was listed up to issue 8/2003.
