The magazine practic was a quarterly magazine published in the German Democratic Republic with tips and instructions for DIY enthusiasts and hobbyists. The magazine has been published by Junge Welt since 1967 (as the successor to the magazine Modellbau und Basteln ) ; The publisher was the Central Council of the FDJ .

In addition to building instructions for everyday use, the “Practic” also included handicraft suggestions, for example for disco lights or swimming skis.
